blew into the windy city Monday to begin winding down their 2011 summer tour. The Vermont jamband performed three sold out concerts to a relatively intimate audience of only 9,000 fans per night. In comparison, the group just played a sold out concert in Los Angeles last Monday at the Hollywood Bowl
to over 17,000 fans and nearly 40,000 during Super Ball IX
, their own 3-Day Festival over Fourth of July Weekend in Watkins Glen, NY.
Phish will close out their final performances for the year on Labor Day weekend with three consecutive nights at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO (September 2, 3 and 4). The Colorado dates mark the last concerts announced by the band for the Summer and Fall of 2011.
